Sysi (Charcoal)
Sysi represents the pure, glossy form of charcoal. Its deep, luminous surface is born from a unique union of fire, heavy pressure-washing and black pigment.
Applications
Manufacturing
Sysi product is made by charring the wood surface at over 1000 °C using Hiil's charring technology. After charring, the product is pressure-washed with water, dried and oiled with black-tinted special linseed oil. The oil binds the char on the surface so that it does not dust or flake off.

Weather exposure
Sysi is Hiil's newest product and weather exposure tests have not yet been carried out for it. It is, however, a charred, washed and black tint pigment finished surface. It is expected to behave in UV exposure in the same way as Noki (also a black tint pigment treated brushed surface) and Savu+ (a brown tint pigment treated washed surface).
