Kaarna+ (Bark+)
Kaarna+ is a charred and brushed wood product treated with dark brown pigment. Thanks to the pigment, it does not grey as much as untreated Kaarna.
Applications
Manufacturing
Kaarna+ product is made by charring the wood surface at over 1000 °C using Hiil's charring technology. After charring, the product is pressure-washed with water, dried, brushed and oiled with brown-tinted special linseed oil. The oil binds the char on the surface so that it does not dust or flake off.
