Hiili is the black classic of Hiil woods. Shaped by fire, it has a dark and strongly textured surface. In Nordic nature and culture, charcoal symbolises transformation and resilience – a material born from the heat of flames, remaining permanently black. Hiili brings out this deep black tone and its texture, reflecting the harsh yet beautiful aesthetics of the north.
