TRIB3 Helsinki Sture, charred wood building the atmosphere

Story

TRIB3 Sture is a boutique fitness studio built around community and shared effort. The message is clear: you sweat together and grow together. The Sturenkatu studio sits in a space with a history of its own, visible in the scale of the rooms and in the curves of the architecture.

At reception, charred wood makes the first impression. Black Hiili appears in the treatment of the timber beams and in the slatted solution, where wood adds rhythm and defines the space without closing it off. The charred surface sits naturally alongside industrial-style furniture and metal details. The curved space is softened by the warmth and depth of the wood.

The feature wall at reception is Korppi. It is a surface that changes with the light. Head-on it can look almost black, but when light hits it from the right angle, a blue sheen appears. That is why it works so well with brown leather and warm spotlights.

In the Pilates room the mood shifts, but the material keeps the whole together. Kuura, the lightest tone in the range, picks up the magenta and violet lighting and brings the wall to life. The clear geometry of the equipment and the technical look are balanced by a surface that shows the grain of the wood and the mark of charring. In the corridors, light charred tones and blue-black surfaces repeat, including a special finish where a washed surface is tinted with blue pigment. It ties the different rooms into one world and supports what TRIB3 is after: a consistent experience and a sense of community across the spaces.
