Hiil emerged from the passion and curiosity of Finnish brothers for wood. Years of working on pioneering custom projects sparked the idea for a company that transforms wood destined for waste into a unique building material through charring.
But we didn’t stop there. To support our charring process, we built the world’s only energy-producing charring line. Our process is waste-negative and our wood is treated without toxins. This is a natural evolution, working in harmony with wood – nature’s own innovation.
